Chat runs the legs. You keep the aim.

Viewers Control Fortnite on TikTok LIVE: Complete Tutorial for Beginners

Fortnite keyboard controls on PC: W, A, S and D move, Space jumps, Left Shift sprints, Left Ctrl crouches, E interacts, R reloads, M opens the map and I opens the inventory. The left mouse button fires and the right mouse button aims.

Hand chat your character's legs and keep the trigger finger for yourself. Gifts make you run, jump, sprint and reload, while you handle aiming, building and every fight. It works best in relaxed modes, where a surprise jump is funny rather than costly.

Before playing Fortnite with viewers

Pick a Creative island, a casual playlist or a private match before giving chat any control, and keep it out of ranked play where a random input affects other people's matches. Keep a hand near the keyboard so you can take over in the storm or a late circle.

Fortnite: default PC keys

Default PC keyboard controls use W, A, S and D to move, Space to jump, Left Shift to sprint and Left Ctrl to crouch, or to slide while sprinting. E opens doors and picks up items, R reloads, M toggles the map and I opens the inventory. The left mouse button fires and the right mouse button aims down sights. Check your own keybinds under Settings, Keyboard Controls before copying them into TikFinity.

Why these durations suit Fortnite

An 800 ms forward hold covers a short run between cover without sending you across an open field. Strafes and back steps at 400 ms are small dodges. Jump, interact and reload are taps of 60 to 80 ms, because a held E can start a longer interaction such as a revive. Sprint has its own screen at 1,500 ms so it can overlap movement instead of waiting behind it. Treat these as starting points and tune them on a Creative island.

Connect TikFinity to Fortnite

  1. Open TikFinity Desktop on the Windows PC running Fortnite and close any browser copy of TikFinity. Finish Setup, log in to TikTok and capture the game in LIVE Studio or OBS.
  2. In Actions & Events, create an action with Simulate keystrokes set to W. Turn on game compatibility mode, accept any install prompt it shows and enter 800 ms; 1,000 ms = 1 second. Duplicate it for the other keys in the table, changing the name, key and duration each time.
  3. Put W and S on screen 1, A and D on screen 2, jump, interact and reload on screen 3, and sprint on screen 4. Each screen runs its own queue, so sprint and strafes can overlap a forward run. Add every screen URL as a Link source in LIVE Studio or a Browser source in OBS.
  4. Create a Sending a specific gift event for each gift and attach its action. Leave Repeat with gift combos off to begin with and keep queues short, so a burst of Roses does not walk you into the storm long after chat stopped sending.
  5. Load into a Creative island, press the play icon on the forward action and click into the game within 5 seconds. Check jump and reload the same way. The Event Simulator does not press keys, so test with the action play buttons.

Fortnite stream tips

Frame your Fortnite stream

Keep the key legend low on the left, clear of the minimap and the health and shield bars. Label sprint as a hold so viewers know it stacks with movement.

The key boxes use CSS, with no game artwork. Alert display time controls alerts and TTS separately from key holds.

Fortnite FAQ

Can viewers aim or shoot in Fortnite with this setup?

No. Aiming and firing use the mouse, and these TikFinity actions press keyboard keys. Keep aim and fire with the host and give chat movement, jumps, sprint, interact and reload.

Why does my character keep running after a gift?

Queued actions are still playing out. Shorten the forward hold, leave Repeat with gift combos off and clear the screen queue if a backlog builds up.

Which Fortnite modes suit viewer control?

Creative islands, casual playlists and private matches. Keep viewer control out of ranked play, where a random input changes other players' matches.
