Viewers Control Geometry Dash on TikTok LIVE: Complete Tutorial for Beginners

Geometry Dash strips the gift menu down to timing. In a classic level, viewers mainly need one button: jump. The useful settings are a very short hold, a manageable queue and a clear decision about whether gift combos should repeat that jump.

Follow Harry's keyboard-control tutorial video and written TikFinity setup on TokTutorials. The gift mappings below adapt that method to Geometry Dash; the hold times are suggested starting settings.

Before you connect chat

Use the PC game in single-player and choose an easy classic level first. This guide is for the auto-running classic game, rather than platformer levels that also need movement keys. A difficult level can turn every delayed input into an immediate restart before chat understands the controls.

Geometry Dash: keys viewers will use

Space or Up is the main jump/action input in classic levels. In practice mode, Z places a checkpoint and X removes the last checkpoint. The mapping below uses Space only for the main action. These are default PC keys; check your own keybinds in the game's settings.

ZPlace checkpointXRemove checkpoint

Practice-mode tools: screen 2. No steering queue needed for classic levels.

Gift-to-key starter mapping

Two example gifts feed the same jump queue below. Replace their names if your account has different gifts, then update the Space label so chat knows exactly which gifts request a tap.

Why these holds suit Geometry Dash

Start at 120 ms, within a roughly 100-150 ms tap range. A short tap releases the input quickly instead of holding across several obstacles. It does not guarantee one successful jump: the current game mode, the landing and the level geometry still decide what happens. Holding changes behaviour in sections such as the ship, so these starter taps are aimed at easy cube sections rather than a universal solution for every level.

Connect TikFinity to Geometry Dash

  1. Launch TikFinity Desktop on your Windows gaming PC after closing the web version. Complete Setup and TikTok login with the account you will stream from. Capture Geometry Dash in LIVE Studio, or use OBS if you have a stream key.
  2. Open Actions & Events and create Jump tap. Choose Simulate keystrokes, select Space, enable game compatibility mode and complete the prompted installation if needed. Set the hold duration to 120 ms. For scale, 1,000 ms = 1 second, so this action is just over a tenth of a second.
  3. Keep both jump gifts on screen 1. Screens are queues, so a Rose jump and a TikTok jump wait their turn instead of competing on separate screens. Put the practice-mode Z/X actions together on screen 2 and add both URLs to your scene: Link sources in LIVE Studio, Browser sources in OBS.
  4. Under Create new event, select Sending a specific gift and pair Rose with Jump tap. Repeat for the second jump gift and the two checkpoint actions. Decide deliberately whether to enable Repeat with gift combos: a combo of ten roses can create ten queued taps rather than one input.
  5. Enter a level before trying the play button beside Jump tap. You have 5 seconds to focus the game window before the test keystroke arrives. Do not use the Event Simulator to judge keyboard input; Harry shows the action play button for that test. Confirm the key releases promptly.

Geometry Dash stream tips

Make the controls readable on a phone

Make the obstacle lane the largest part of your portrait capture. Put a single large Space key below it, labelled with the gift name and 120 ms. Add smaller Z/X labels only during practice mode, so viewers do not spend gifts expecting checkpoints in a normal run.

Keep a camera or your own reaction footage above the gameplay, with attempt progress visible where possible. Harry's 1080 × 640 Canva graphic is a useful starting canvas for the bottom panel. Text or emojis can replace gift icons. If you enable Show alert or Read text, use a short message outside the obstacle lane; alert display time is separate from the 120 ms key hold.

Geometry Dash: quick questions

Does every gift make exactly one jump?

No. A gift requests a short input, while the current mode and obstacles determine the result. A gift combo can also queue repeated inputs if Repeat with gift combos is enabled.

Why do Z and X do nothing?

They are practice-mode checkpoint controls. Enter practice mode first and check the game bindings. Disable automatic checkpoints if you want chat to choose the checkpoint positions manually.

Can viewers beat hard levels with this?

Timing gifts through stream delay is difficult. Start with easy classic levels or practice mode and make the shared attempts the entertainment.
