Charge. Release. Fall. Repeat.
Viewers Control Jump King on TikTok LIVE: Complete Tutorial for Beginners
In Jump King, the length of the press is the point. Viewers choose a small, medium or big charged jump, then another gift supplies the direction. A badly judged release can undo several ledges of progress. Those falls are the content.

Follow Harry's keyboard-control tutorial video and written TikFinity setup on TokTutorials. The gift mappings below adapt that method to Jump King; the hold times are suggested starting settings.
Before you connect chat
Open the original Jump King on a Windows PC in single-player. Get onto a broad starting ledge before enabling viewer actions. Keep the controls visible and demonstrate a small jump yourself, so chat can see that holding Space charges power and releasing it launches the jump.
Jump King: keys viewers will use
Space charges a jump while held and releases the jump when let go. Left and Right arrows set horizontal direction; direction cannot be corrected in mid-air after take-off. These are default PC keys; check your own keybinds in the game's settings.
Gift-to-key starter mapping
Choose an available gift for each charge strength and each direction. These are example names, not a fixed price list. Make the three jump sizes unmistakable on the legend before letting chat attempt the climb.
| Gift example | Key and action | Hold duration (ms) | TikFinity screen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rose | Space: small charged jump | 150 | 1 |
| Ice Cream | Space: medium charged jump | 350 | 1 |
| Finger Heart | Space: big charged jump | 600 | 1 |
| TikTok | Left arrow: direction | 900 | 2 |
| Heart Me | Right arrow: direction | 900 | 2 |
Why these holds suit Jump King
The 150, 350 and 600 ms holds are starting points for low, medium and high power, rather than three guaranteed landing distances. Charge has a maximum, so extending a big hold indefinitely will not keep adding height. A 900 ms direction hold gives a short window in which Space can charge and release while an arrow is still down. Measure the result on the starting ledges before advertising a precise jump height.
Connect TikFinity to Jump King
- Use TikFinity Desktop on the Windows PC running Jump King, with the browser version closed. Sign in on Setup, confirm your TikTok username and finish TikTok login. Prepare LIVE Studio or OBS with a stream key so the audience can see both the ledge and the key legend.
- Go to Actions & Events and create Small jump. Select Simulate keystrokes, choose Space and enable game compatibility mode, following any installation prompt. Set 150 ms as the hold. Remember 1,000 ms = 1 second. Duplicate this twice for 350 ms and 600 ms charges, changing the names so the gifts are easy to identify.
- Assign all Space actions to screen 1 and both arrow actions to screen 2. Each screen is a queue: the jumps run in order, but direction on another screen can overlap a charge. Left and Right share screen 2 so they cannot fight each other. Add both screen URLs as Link sources in LIVE Studio or Browser sources in OBS.
- Create an event using Sending a specific gift for each jump size and arrow direction in the table. Start with Repeat with gift combos off for charge actions, so a rose streak does not unexpectedly launch a whole series of jumps. Leave Skip on next action off while learning the timing.
- On a wide ledge, press the play icon for Small jump and focus the game within 5 seconds. Check the character charges and jumps on release. The Event Simulator will not test keystrokes, as Harry explains in his walkthrough. Test the direction action too, then try the overlap from your broad ledge.
Jump King stream tips
- Hold duration is jump power. Keep the three Space gifts clearly named small, medium and big, with the milliseconds visible. A bigger gift should select a different charge, rather than secretly queue several small jumps.
- Direction must already be active when the charge releases. Ask chat to send direction first, then jump, while keeping both queues short. Separate screens allow overlap, but do not synchronise two independent gifts or guarantee they arrive together.
- Arrow gifts can also walk the character off a ledge when no charge is active. Begin with 900 ms on a broad platform, shorten it if walking takes over, and avoid a large direction backlog.
- Use a queue of only a few charges at first, perhaps three. Landing can happen before the next queued input, or while a later input is already held. A large queue makes it difficult to tell which gift caused the fall.
- Make the next ledge the target and let the falls stay visible. Explain that there is no mid-air steering rescue. Chat choosing the wrong power is part of this format, so do not promise a clean climb or a precise landing from a gift.
Make the controls readable on a phone
Keep the current platform, the next ledge and the drop below in the gameplay crop. Underneath, draw three Space key boxes with their hold times, then a separate Left/Right row labelled direction. That separation helps viewers understand why two gifts can work together.
Use the top of the portrait scene for your camera so viewers can see the reaction to a fall. Harry's tutorial uses a 1080 × 640 Canva panel for the controls; labelled CSS-style key boxes are enough here, with no game art required. Keep optional alerts away from platform edges. Their display duration changes the alert or TTS, not the charge time.
Jump King: quick questions
Why does the character jump straight up?
The direction hold may have ended before Space released, or the direction gift may still be queued. Keep arrows on screen 2 and charges on screen 1, then test the overlap from a wide ledge.
Will a longer hold always jump higher?
No. Jump charge reaches a maximum. Use the suggested durations as starting points and tune the three sizes against the ledges you can see.
Should I enable gift-combo repeats?
Begin with repeats off for Space actions and a short queue. Once viewers understand the charges, you can enable repeated jumps, but explain that a combo will queue multiple releases.
