Chat on the throttle. You on the ball.

Viewers Control Rocket League on TikTok LIVE: Complete Tutorial for Beginners

Rocket League keyboard controls on PC: W accelerates, S brakes and reverses, A and D steer, the right mouse button jumps, the left mouse button boosts, Left Shift powerslides or air rolls and Space toggles ball cam. Change bindings in Options, Controls.

Rocket League turns chat control into a slapstick car chase. Gifts drive, steer and powerslide your car, and with jump and boost moved to keys, chat can even launch it. Free Play and private matches keep the chaos away from strangers.

Before playing Rocket League with viewers

Start in Free Play or a private match with friends, not ranked or casual games against strangers. Jump and boost sit on the mouse by default, so either keep them yourself or bind them to spare keys in Options, Controls before giving them to chat. The table uses J and B as example keys; check they are not already bound in your setup.

Rocket League: default PC keys

Default PC keyboard controls use W to accelerate, S to brake and reverse, and A and D to steer; in the air, W, A, S and D pitch and steer the car. The right mouse button jumps and the left mouse button boosts. Left Shift powerslides on the ground and air rolls in the air, Space toggles ball cam and the middle mouse button shows the rear view. Check your own keybinds in Options, Controls before copying them into TikFinity.

Why these durations suit Rocket League

A one-second throttle hold builds real speed, and half a second on S is enough to slow down or start reversing. Steering stays at 250 ms, because a keyboard steers at full lock and longer holds spin the car. A 300 ms powerslide tightens a turn without a full spin. Jump is a single tap, and boost holds for 800 ms so viewers see it burn. Separate screens let steering and boost run alongside the throttle.

Connect TikFinity to Rocket League

  1. Open TikFinity Desktop on the PC running Rocket League, close the browser version, finish Setup and TikTok login, and capture the game in LIVE Studio or OBS.
  2. In Rocket League, open Options, Controls and bind Jump to J and Boost to B, or to other free keys you prefer. Keep the mouse bindings too if the game lets you, so you can still play normally.
  3. In TikFinity Actions & Events, create an action with Simulate keystrokes set to W, turn on game compatibility mode and finish any install prompt. Enter 1,000 ms; 1,000 ms = 1 second. Duplicate it for the other keys in the table.
  4. Put W and S on screen 1, A and D on screen 2, powerslide and ball cam on screen 3, and jump and boost on screen 4. Each screen runs its own queue. Add each screen URL as a Link source in LIVE Studio or a Browser source in OBS, then create a Sending a specific gift event per gift.
  5. In Free Play, press the play icon on the throttle action and click into the game within 5 seconds. The Event Simulator does not press keys, so test each action with its play button, including your new jump and boost keys.

Rocket League stream tips

Frame your Rocket League stream

Keep the legend at the bottom left, away from the boost meter at the bottom right and the scoreboard at the top. Mark jump and boost as rebinds so viewers know why they sit on letter keys.

The key boxes use CSS, with no game artwork. Alert display time controls alerts and TTS separately from key holds.

Rocket League FAQ

Why do jump and boost use J and B in this guide?

Rocket League puts jump and boost on the mouse by default, and these TikFinity actions press keyboard keys. Bind both to spare keys in Options, Controls, then use the same keys in TikFinity.

Can chat do aerials?

Not reliably. Aerials need jump, boost and air steering timed together, and gift delay breaks that timing. Give chat ground play and keep aerials for yourself.

Which mode should I use for viewer control?

Free Play or a private match with friends. Keep viewer control out of ranked and casual games against strangers.
